I don't suppose this would be relevant, unless pixel peeking is practiced, but if the stabilizer automatically recognizes a native lens, why does the recorded stabilizer setting not change automatically?
The stabilizer focal length setting will always show the last focal length that was manually set. When using a native lens though you should notice that the FL in the bottom right corner is grayed out meaning it's not being used.
It only becomes active white when using a non native lens. So I read the review. Are you sure that is not caused by Parkinsons? The stabilisation should take care of any roller blind shutter slap. The first of the sample videos is plain over-exposed not uncommon in that kind of setting. The second sample has no bass in the sound when compared to my SH videos , suggesting the wind shield setting was at its highest. I get the impression the reviewer does not like video anyway.

Mr Bolton The program is fine once you get used to the interface, but my current trouble is that I can't seem to get MySQL up and running, then set Digikam to use that versus SQLite, which gets super cumbersome and slow under the weight of a couple hundred thousand images.
However there is a patch you can install that brings things more into line with modern Gnome appearance so you don't suddenly feel not quite Y2K compliant :-D Other than that, it's fine.
GNOME has its annoyances but they're minor by comparison. But since I never do video or raw, I'll just keep Gimping along. Jeremy Rosenberger gphoto2 will do that!
